Inspired by sarcophagus lids, Agustin developed the means to build three-dimensional canvases with the iconic shape of the lid of a mummy case. On these he painted the face and symbols of the person for whom the lid and case would have been made. Although some may have found the idea unsettling, he found these pieces as members of the family, affectionately calling them "mummies".
